With the Greater Bay Area (GBA) rapidly emerging as a hub for economic growth and financial innovation, the BSc in Sustainable and Green Finance Program and the Department of Finance organized a series of study trips to Guangzhou on 9, 11, and 16 June 2026.
Students visited leading financial institutions, including GF Securities Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Finance Holdings, and Taikang Life Insurance Co., Ltd., gaining firsthand insights into industry developments, business operations, and workplace culture across the securities, investment, and insurance sectors.
The trips also featured team-building activities at VeRyland Wonderland Park, where students connected through interactive experiences such as VR games and arcade activities.
By combining classroom learning with real-world industry exposure, the study trips provided students with valuable perspectives on the GBA's financial landscape, emerging career opportunities, and the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving business environment. As the GBA continues to shape the future of finance, experiences like these help prepare students for meaningful careers in an increasingly interconnected world.
