The HKUST Finance Insights program received the Merit Award at the Investor and Financial Education Award (IFEA) 2025 (Education – Tertiary Institution category) on March 10, 2026, with IFEC Chairman Mr. Vitor Dawes and Under Secretary for Education of the Education Bureau, Dr. Jeff Sze in attendance. The award, organized by IFEC, recognizes outstanding contributions to financial education empowering Hong Kong people to make informed decisions.
Aligned with the university’s mission, the program unites three undergraduate programs to deliver financial knowledge to secondary students through interactive modules and gamified simulations. Engaging over 1,000 students in 2024-25, sessions are led by current students, many from participating schools.
This award encourages the program's continued mission.
