The BSc in SGFN is an interdisciplinary program providing students with a broad-based learning experience that includes a combination of courses from the School of Business and Management and also from the Division of Environment and Sustainability.
Curriculum Features
The SGFN curriculum overlays business and finance topics with sustainability significance, which covers the latest sustainable and green finance developments at national and global levels to provide students with a global perspective in the field with local relevance.
There are four major components in the SGFN curriculum:
- Business and Finance Required Courses and Electives
- Environment and Sustainability Required Courses and Electives
- Foundation Courses
- University Common Core Courses
Important topics covered in the SGFN curriculum include ESG Investing, Governing Green Finance, Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Risk Management, Circular Economy and so on.
Requirements and Study Pathway
To graduate from SGFN program, students are required to complete the program and university requirements within 4 years and follow the normative study pathway. Please refer to the Program Catalog for more details of Curriculum Requirements and Study Pathway:
For students admitted to HKUST in 2024-25
For students admitted to HKUST in 2023-24
For students admitted to HKUST in 2022-23
Students might also need to take additional free electives to fulfill the total 120-credit university graduation requirement.
